fash•ion (fash-uh n) | tribal print

I've loved the tribal trend this entire season, but I'm a little late in the game just based on the fact that I was having a tough time finding one that wasn't too "jungly". I want to show that I'm inspired by tribal prints...not actually look like I'm part of a tribe.

After coveting the tribal prints worn by Lisa, Amy, Jennifer and Audrey, it was about time that I had a rendezvous with a tribal printed item that was searching for a good home.  Then the other day while thrifting with a friend it happened.  So effortlessly a tribal printed skirt jumped out at me from the racks and made it's way into my cart.  When I tried it on I wasn't "sold" on it, but it was $3.99 plus an additional 25% off, was I in a position to say no?  Not so much.  So glad I bought it because it's quickly becoming one of my favorite items in my closet.

I'm not really a "trend" kind of person...mostly because I'm never sure how to properly execute them. So I stick with what I think works on me. :)

That skirt is gorgeous! I love it with the white tube top. You look awesome!

Love it! What a great purchase! I like this trend, but also haven't been very lucking finding the right print/piece. I also like the color blocking trend as it seems flattering on everyone!

Pleated knee-length skirts! I only have one but I'm taking any chance I can to wear it! They are just so classy and floaty for summer.

Loving the new layout and name!! I'm going through the same transition myself but getting utterly stuck on a new blog name :( Sigh, branding is hard.

Yup.. like this muchly! This is why I love the thrift store... you can try a trend for $3. Or buy a small coffee at Starbucks.

I like the skirt. It definitely looks tribal, but without being over the top or too trendy looking. Very cute.

What a rockin' skirt!

I'm still a little obsesses with the color blocking trend. I really want some pencil skirts in bright solid colors, but am not shopping right now, so it's hard ;)

You look gorgeous in that skirt! Amazing! I guess the best trend IMO is the lace/crochet textures out there. It feels like it's the only thing I'd be able to pull off this season!
