fash•ion (fash-uh n) | stripes

I have a confession to make.  I'm a sucker for stripes.  So yes, my name is Tabitha and I'm a stripeaholic.  I slowly have been trying to ween off of buying any striped items, but it's a tough habit to break.  There are so many cute striped items out there and fighting the urge to resist is really tough.  They're just such great layering pieces and adds a great dimension to any outfit.

|Are you obsessed with stripes the same way I am?  Do you need to have an intervention like I do to prevent from adding more of striped items to your closet?|

We're in the same boat. I have always loved stripes but have tried not to wear so much as I thought it would make me look wide. But this fall, I have found a few pieces of stripes which don't and I have grabbed more than I need.

I too, am obsessed with stripes. Luckily (for my wallet and my already stuffed closet), I have a hard time finding striped pieces that are flattering on me. Otherwise, I'd be right there w/you.

Hello. My name is Alyssa, and I am horribly addicted to stripes.

It is really a problem. I cant trust myself to shop anymore without immediately being drawn to a striped top of some sort. Glad I'm not alone!

Ahhh! This is the perfect stripe sweater! Love the size of the stripes! And with this ADORABLE dress? Oh, how cute!

I'm more of a gingham girl myself, but I do like a good stripe every so often! :)~

I LOVE stripes and I just learned the other day that (scientifically proven) horizontal stripes make people look more slender than vertical stripes. The fashion advisers have been lying to us all!

It was on an episode of QI, which we linked to our blog: http://interrobangsanon.wordpress.com/2012/01/08/the-science-of-stripes/

Had so much fun just now catching up on your previous posts I'd missed over the holidays! And yes, I'm obsessed with stripes, but sadly for me it is somewhat of a new obsession, one which I don't see the end in sight anytime soon!

I too have found myself obsessed with stripes...love how you style your stripes over the dress!!

I really like how you styled the sweater with this dress -- I never would have thought of that because of the denim being the heavier fabric, but it totally works.
I'm not a huge stripes addict, but I do seem to have a penchant for solid red sweaters lately. Somehow I acquired two more over winter break without even trying...must stop, ha.

I'm totally with you about stripes. I can always find an... umm, excuse to buy something striped. Ha!

I know what you mean about stripes! (and polka dots for me). I was in a F21 trying on all stripes, polka dots, and prints, and wearing my own polka dotted sweater. I thought - maybe I have too much? But then, "nah, you can never have too much of a good thing!"

Some girls has an impression that stripes makes them look bigger, but I think they are wrong. I also like stripes, especially a dress one.

I love stripes but don't have as many striped items as I thought. I love the look and the flower in your hair.

You left an intriguing comment on my blog: "Since I will be getting bigger over the months, buying clothes hasn't been very fun and honestly it's a little unmotivating." I can think of one thing where you know you are going to gain weight and are ok with it...is what I am thinking correct or am I misreading this?
