life (layhf) | vacation packing list

This week I bid you adieu as Matt and I jet off to Amsterdam and Paris...with some trips to Bruges and Lyon sprinkled in there as well.  Originally this trip was just scheduled as a luxurious vacation, but now we've coined it our babymoon because let's be honest...who knows when the next time will be that Matt and I get a vacation like this sans child.  After August the only types of vacations we'll be taking are places like Texas to visit the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center (which Matt is so ecstatic about having a child just so we can go).

I've been checking the weather religiously trying to figure out how to pack and although it's not the ideal time of year that we would go (weather wise), I'm not going to complain about a trip to Europe.

Amsterdam 10 Day

Paris 10 Day

Unfortunately Matt's limiting me only to one luggage, so it's necessary for me to pre-plan all my outfits.  I created a packing list with only a handful of items I can bring and also outlined all the multiple outfits using just those things.  Luckily I participated in Kendi's 30 x 30 last year and learned some valuable remixing techniques, so remixing a handful of items for a short vacay should be a piece of cake.  Having this list is the perfect way for me to not think about what I'm wearing the entire time I'm there, but sets me up perfectly for day excursions that require a lot of walking around and nightcaps (virgins for me) at fancy hotel bars.

Packing list

|Do you create a packing list when you're going on vacation to help limit the amount of items you bring or to help plan out all your outfits?|

wow, you're super-organized in planning your outfit for your vacay. I seldom do that. I just put the bunch of clothes in the suitcase and wear them as the days go. Of course, there won't be anything that I wish to wear when we get there. So most of the time, end up going shopping and getting new outfits.

Enjoy your vacation. Bon Voyage!

ahahah I love your packing spread sheet! I've never done that, but I do lay out my clothes on my bed before or visualize my outfits in my head, i've got the one bag things down to a science. So jealous!

I love your Excel file for all of your outfits! Such a smart way to stay organized and keep track of how each piece can be styled - I need to start doing this!

Hope you have a wonderful trip, lady! Enjoy every second and take lots of photos.

xo.

Will you pack us for our next trip? Between you and Ashleigh I have no organization skills.

Ah! That's awesome you can have a babymoon to Amsterdam! I'm pretty good at traveling with only a carry-on, even for international. I do like to make lists and outfit options planned out ahead. But I rarely ever make such a gorgeous Excel spreadsheet! Have fun!
