On Saturday I had a chance to meet the fabulous Brad Goreski from The Rachel Zoe Project and It's a Brad Brad World who was in town to promote his new book, Born to Be Brad. Normally I brush off these meet and greet opportunities, but it was Brad and only a handful of bloggers had a chance to get some one on one time with him. Obviously I couldn't say no, plus he has the best one liners I've ever heard and every time I would watch an episode of his show, it made me wish we were BFF. On Saturday I got a glimpse of what being his BFF would be like.
We all know Brad as that assistant who left Rachel Zoe, but in his new book Born to be Brad he talks about where his love for fashion originated and what it was like breaking into the industry. Unlike the typical stylist books, he touches more on his road to success instead - offering fans a chance to get to him more intimately. Although there are obviously some key style tips, this book is more like a memoir and if you're someone that's already in love with him, this is a book you won't want to miss.
The book signing was fantastic and by the time it began, there was already over 100 people waiting in line excited to meet him. The event was truly class act with great passed hors d'oeuvres including lovely cookies in the shape of Brad-esque items such as his signature bow tie and glasses. His next stops include Dallas and San Francisco. If you happen to live in one of those cities, definitely stop by and say hello to him - he's just as fab in person as he is on TV.
