food (food) | honey cinnamon chili butter

Let's be honest, who doesn't love corn in the summer?  It's probably my favorite vegetable to eat once the warm weather hits and I love that there are many variations of how it's prepared.  Although it is good on its own, I sometimes like to add a little more flavor to it - enter the honey cinnamon chili butter.  It adds just enough sweetness and kick to any piece of corn on the cob.

Here's what you'll need:
  • 2 tbsp of softened butter
  • 1 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tbsp of chili powder
  • 1 tbsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of cayenne pepper (optional if you want a little spice)
Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth with a fork.  Spread on warm cooked corn on the cob.

I used this butter for corn on the cob, but this butter would also go great with jalepeno corn bread for a nice chili dinner.  Enjoy!
